Iran has hanged four men convicted of drug trafficking in the southern Hormozgan province, press reports said on Sunday. A report in the reformist Etemad daily identified only one of the traffickers hanged in Bandar Abbas in Hormozgan province as F.M., a 33-year-old. He had been arrested with 8.6 kilos (19 pounds) of heroin, the report said, adding that police had seized 508 kilos (1,118 pounds) of opium from the other three. It did not specify whether the executions were carried out in public.
