Jabbar Nemati executed in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz on February 2.
According to Iran Human Rights, on the morning of February 2, a male prisoner was executed in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz. The identity of the prisoner who was sentenced to qisas for murder, has been established as 37-year-old Jahrom native, Jabbar Nemati.
An informed source told IHR: “Jabbar was a welder and committed murder during a fight over an 8 million Tomans debt that his debtor wouldn’t pay back and was sentenced to death in court. Jabbar was engaged but after five months of hopeless waiting, his fiancée left him and Jabbar was left alone with his mother and did everything he could to obtain the consent of his victim’s family but was unsuccessful.”
At the time of writing, Jabbar Nemati’s execution has not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
