IRAN: KURDISH ACTIVIST EHSAN FATAHIYAN TO BE EXECUTED

the death sentence of Ehsan Fatahiyan, a 27 year old Kurdish activist in Iran, is set to be carried out on November 11, 2009. The Judiciary from the Sanandaj Court confirmed the date of execution and Fatahiyan’s lawyer has been summoned to Sanandaj prison to watch the execution. Fatahiyan was convicted of being a “Mohareb” (enemy of god), a charge he denies.
