two Kurdish activists were sentenced to death by the Iranian courts for ‘waging enmity against God’ through ‘propaganda activities’ and ‘membership in a dissident group’, according to the Mokerian News Agency.
Ali and Habib Afshari are currently imprisoned at Orumieh Prison. Ali Afshari was arrested in Bokan in December 2010, and shot during the arrest. According to Iran Human Rights, both of his hands were paralysed consequently.
