the Shiraz General and Revolution Court prosecutor reported a public hanging in Shiraz, Iran. The prosecutor, Hojjat ol-Eslam Jaber Baneshi, identified the man, an armed robber, as Allahqoli Q. Speaking to IRNA's reporter, he added 'the armed robber killed the late Kheyrollah Asgari in an attempt to rob a car.' The death sentence was issued by Bench 6 of the Fasa region's Penal Court and it was confirmed by Bench 4 of the State Supreme Court.
