Mir Soltan Amiri executed in Orumiyeh Central Prison (Urmia) on January 27.
Amiri was arrested about three and a half years ago along with his son Shahriar Amiri on drug-related charges. Later, the father and son were both sentenced to the death penalty. Amiri was a father of four and a resident of Oshnavieh, West Azerbaijan province. His son Shahriyar Amiri was executed in Orumiyeh Central Prison on 3 July 2021.
