According to a report received by Hengaw, on Sunday, January 28, 2024, the capital punishment of 45-year-old Mohammad Reza Ghorbani, from Darreh Shahr city, was executed in Karaj Ghezel Hesar prison of Karaj.
This inmate was taken into custody five years ago for charges related to drug crimes.
It has to be noted that, yesterday, alongside Mohammad Reza Ghorbani, another inmate identified as Hossein Havasi Zadeh was transported to solitary confinement. As of now, the implementation of the death sentence for this prisoner has been temporarily called off.
