IRAN - Morad Salehbeig received 74 lashes prior to being executed in Zanjan on February 28

Morad Salehbeig (Salehbeyg, Saleh-Beyg) received his 74 lashes sentence prior to being executed for murder charges in Zanjan Prison on February 28.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was executed in Zanjan Central Prison on the morning of February 28. His identity has been established as 45-year-old Morad Salehbeigi from Marand.
He had been sentenced to qisas (retribution-in-kind) for murder and had also received a 74-lash sentence which was carried out prior to his execution. He spent around five years behind.
At the time of writing, Morad’s execution has not been announced by domestic media in Iran.
