April 8, 2026 - IRAN. Naser Taheri and Yahya Masoumi executed in Zanjan on April 8.
According to information Iran Human Rights obtained on April 21, two men were hanged in Zanjan Central Prison on 8 April 2025. Their identities have been established as Naser Taheri (photo), a 44-year-old father of two from Zanjan, and Yahya Masoumi, a Qazvin native who was around 40.
Naser was arrested for a murder that took place after a fight around three years ago, and Yahya was arrested five years ago, also for murder.
At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
