According to PMOI/MEK, one of the persons hanged at Raja’i Shahr prison on June 26 could be identified as Hoda Burbur, a woman. Different sources (IHR, capitalpunishmentuk.org) had given the name of Mehdi Burbur, a man. PMOI stands for The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, also known as Mujahedin-e-Khalgh (MEK).
