IRAN: PRISONER HANGED IN RASHT

According to a close source, a prisoner was executed at Rasht Central Prison. The prisoner, sentenced to death on murder charges, was identified as Seyyed Morteza Mohammadi.
A close source told IHR, “Morteza was from Rasht and was dating a girl named Fariba. He murdered her and burned her body after a fight in 2015. He had a 9-year-old son who was present in front of the prison gate at the time of the execution.”
The execution of this prisoner has not been announced by the state-run media so far.
