According to the reports received to IHRS, on Thursday, January 26, 2023, a prisoner named Reza Shokripour, the son of Najaf Ali, was executed in the central prison of Karaj on drug charges. This prisoner from Ilam was 30 years old and had two children and was in prison for 4 years.
After the riot of prisoners in Karaj Central Prison, a number of prisoners under death sentence was transferred to solitary confinement and executed in news silence. The execution of this prisoner not published in any of the state media.
