Saeed Naderi and an unknows female executed in Ardabil Prison on February 8.
According to Iran Human Rights, a female and a male prisoner sentenced to qisas (retribution-in-kind) for murder, were executed at Ardabil Central Prison in the early hours of this morning, Monday, 8 February 2021. The male prisoner’s identity has been established as 25-year-old Saeed Naderi, who was transferred for execution from Ward 3, a youth ward at the prison. The 23-year-old female prisoner was the wife of Saeed’s uncle but her identity has yet to be established. There is reason to believe that she may have been a juvenile offender. Iran Human Rights is continuing to investigate the matter. Informed sources told IHR: “Saeed Naderi and his uncle’s wife killed his uncle five years ago and set his corpse on fire.”
