IRAN. SENTENCED TO DEATH AT 17, EXECUTION DUE SOON

a boy sentenced to death at 17 years of age will be executed, reported the Iranian daily Etemad. He had reportedly killed a 15 year old friend in July 2003, stabbing him in the heart following an argument. The crime took place in Karaj, a small city 30 km west of the capital Teheran. His death sentence was confirmed by the country’s Supreme Court, the daily reported.
