At dawn on February 9, the death sentence of a female prisoner identified as Shahla Dowlatabadi was carried out in Kerman Prison. Shahla Dowlatabadi was charged of murder.
As of the time of this report, neither officials at Kerman Prison nor any official judicial authorities have publicly announced or confirmed the execution.

With the executions of Shahla Dowlatabadi, the number of women executed in the 2026 calendar year has risen to six.
According to data recorded by the Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, at least 334 women have been executed in Iran since 2007.
