IRAN. TEACHERS CONDEMN EXECUTION OF POLITICAL PRISONERS

in a public statement released in Tehran, teachers supporting the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran condemned the death warrant issued against Valiollah Feiz-Mahdavi in Gohardasht Prison, west of Tehran. Their statement also condemned the execution of Hojjat Zamani, another member of the PMOI, back in February and said: "The mullahs' regime committing these crimes while it is facing increasing international isolation and detested by Iranians, specially the youth." The Iranian teachers called on international human rights bodies to act immediately to save the lives of political prisoners in Iran, in particular Mr. Feiz-Mahdavi who was set to be executed on May 16.
