IRAN. TEENAGER FACING EXECUTION FOR CRIME COMMITTED AS MINOR

a teenager was sentenced to death for a crime he was alleged to have committed when he was 17 years old, according to the Ettemad daily.
The boy who was only identified by his first name Saeid was to be executed soon, the daily reported. He was accused of stabbing another 17-year-old boy, who later died of his injury, near a Pool centre in Islamshahr in 2003, west of the capital. The State Supreme Court upheld the initial death sentence handed down to Saeid by a Tehran court, and he was facing imminent execution.
