the state-run daily Iran wrote "The Judiciary in Shahriar sentenced to death a 17-year-old, named Hamid." The same daily wrote that a 19-year-old was sentenced to death in Tehran. According to the state-controlled news agency, ISNA, the Supreme Court upheld the death sentence against Ismail, 22, accused of murdering his friend 4 1/2 years ago. The victim was also sentenced to 80 lashes of the whip.
