IRAN: TWO KURDISH POLITICAL PRISONERS RECEIVE DEATH SENTENCES

The Supreme Court in Iran confirmed the death sentence of two prisoners.
In an interview with the Mokerian News Agency for human rights, the lawyer of these two prisoners stated that the Supreme Court has confirmed the death sentence of his two clients Ali Afshari and Habib (Rizgar) Afshari.
The lawyer stated that the Islamic Revolution Court confirmed their sentences on the alleged accusations of corruption and “waging war against God” for being affiliated with illegal political parties.
Ali and Habib (Rizgari) Afshari was arrested by the security forces some time during the month of November in 2010. They are until today present in the central prison of Oruimeh.
