IRAN: TWO WOMEN AND FOUR MEN EXECUTED IN KHUZESTAN PROVINCE
Six people have been executed in the southwest Iranian Khuzestan during the last week, reported the Iranian daily newspaper Kayhan quoting the state run news agency Fars.

Six people have been executed in the southwest Iranian Khuzestan during the last week, reported the Iranian daily newspaper Kayhan quoting the state run news agency Fars.
According to the report, two women and two men were executed on October 6. They were identified as Fouzieh J (female), Khadijeh J. (female) and Abdollah J (male), all convicted of drug trafficking, and Karim A. convicted of murder, said the report.
Two men identified as Oday B. and Sa’ad B. were executed on October 8, convicted of keeping drugs, according to the report.
All executions took place in the Karoun prison of Ahwaz, capital of the Khuzestan province. Age of none of the executed was mentioned in the report. Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, the spokesperson of Iran Human Rights said: “Number of executions has increased dramatically since the pro-democracy demonstrations started this summer in Iran.” He added: “Iranian regime uses executions to restore the ambience of terror.” According to the official reports gathered by the network of Iran Human Rights, at least 139 people have been executed since July 1 in Iran.
