IRAN: UP TO 12 PRISONERS EXECUTED

According to official reports, 12 prisoners were hanged to death in Iran.
11 prisoners charged with murder were executed in Rajai Shahr Prison. On the same day the Judiciary in Isfahan reported on the execution of a prisoner announced as “S.B.” who was charged with rape. Details about the location of the execution was not published.
In Rajai Shahr Prison, prior to the executions Iranian authorities had reportedly transferred 12 prisoners from their respective wards to solitary confinement and spared the life of one of them after he was forgiven by plaintiffs.
Sources in Rajai Shahr Prison have reported to IHR the names of three of the prisoners who were hanged to death: Hossein Yazdani (from Ward 1), Albolalhassan Mousavi (from Ward 2) and Amir Salehi (from Ward 6).
