Iran's judiciary moved to dispel speculation that jailed dissident Hashem Aghajari had once again been sentenced to death, press reports said. The papers were quoting a statement from Hamedan's provincial judiciary, which was reacting to widespread speculation that Aghajari had been condemned to die again but that an announcement of his new sentencing was being withheld.
