Kim Mun-song, vice trade minister and vice-chairman of the DPRK [Democratic People's Republic of Korea] Committee for the Promotion of External Economic Cooperation [CPEEC], was recently executed by shooting, the South Korean newspaper Choson Ilbo web site said.
Sources well versed in North Korean affairs said: It has been confirmed that Kim Mun-song (age 57), North Korean vice trade minister and vice chairman of the CPEEC, was recently executed by shooting. In the latter half of 2001 Kim Mun-song was dismissed on a charge of corruption and was put into prison. Immediately after that, he was reportedly executed by a firing squad.
