KUWAIT: DEATH TO LIFE FOR IRANIAN

the Kuwaiti Court of Appeals commuted the death sentence of an Iranian man, identified as Jassem M., to life in prison. Judge Saleh Al-Muraishid of the Criminal Court sentenced Jassem to death on October 28, 2009, for smuggling hashish into the country and fined him KD 1,000 for consuming drugs.
