A Lebanese military court sentenced a doctor to ten years in prisoner and his brother to death for collaborating with Mossad, the Beirut-based Daily Star reported.
According to the report, Lebanese doctor Farouq Shuqayr received his sentence for providing the Mossad with information about the whereabouts of Hezbollah officials and key posts of the Shiite militant group, along with Lebanese army positions in the country's south during the 2006 war.
On the same charge, the court sentenced, in absentia, Shuqayr's brother, Zuhair, with the death penalty, according to the Daily Star. He was also reportedly charged for recruiting the doctor to work with the intelligence agency.
