Ma Yong, 43, and his partner Duan Zhiqun, 20, were executed after being convicted by the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court of murdering and robbing 12 women lured to their deaths with offers of jobs in the southern Chinese town of Shenzhen. Ma and Duan allegedly confessed that they had pretended to be working for a company and interviewed job-seekers in the town of Buji near Shenzhen, just across the border from Hong Kong. Those women who had mobile phones and looked physically weak were lured to the suspects' home and killed, reports said. Ma and Duan then took their belongings. They had originally been convicted on November 28.
