A businessman was sentenced to death by the High Court in Johor Baru after he was found guilty of drug distribution.
Loo See Lee, 49, whose business involved the sale of luxury cars, was charged with distributing 164.92g of Methamphetamine at a car workshop along Jalan Kenanga 2 in Taman Plentong Baru on Aug 31, 2014.
He was separately charged with possessing 0.78g of Nimetazepam under Section 12(2) of the same Act.
Loo was initially charged together with his wife Fong Yoke Pei under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Fong was acquitted of the charges against her.
Judge Datuk Mohd Sofian Abd Razak ordered the death sentence for the distribution charge and a six-month jail term from the date Loo was nabbed for the possession charge.
