MAN HANGED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING IN SOUTHERN IRAN

the Prosecutor-General's Office of Hormozgan announced that D. N., 25 year old resident of Kahnuj, was chased by armed personnel for carrying 475 kg opium in a Xantia car. His wife was also in the car with him. Both of them were shot and arrested by the police. Throughout the investigation process he clearly confessed to carrying narcotics and Branch 2 of the Bandar Abbas Revolution Court sentenced him to death. The sentence was carried out after being approved by the prosecutor-general.
