Mohamed Hassan Mahmoud was condemned to death by the court in Oum Kaddada for killing a number of people during armed robberies, the independent daily Al-Ayam reported.
The Fashir court sentenced Ahmed Yassir to hang for premeditated murder and armed robbery, the newspaper said.
The western area of Sudan has been in the grip of banditry for the past few years. The bandits focus in particular on vehicles coming from or going to Libya, Chad, the Central African Republic, or the Sudanese capital.
