Nasaruddin Daud, 23 and Azhar Nordin, 29, two former members of the Aceh Liberation Movement, were sentenced to death by the Malaysian High Court for trafficking cannabis.
"Both of you are liars and what was stated in your defence was fanciful fiction," Judge Datuk Heliliah Mohd Yusof said.
She also expressed regret that the two had accused police witnesses of fabricating evidence.
"There is nothing for the court to consider the defence contention that the police lied, fixed and framed them.
"If it was true, you should have taken your grievances through proper channels, including the Indonesian embassy here," she said.
She said she was satisfied that the prosecution had established its case beyond reasonable doubt.
"I am a judge in a civil court. In the hereafter, I too will be judged and will bear the sin if I made a wrong decision," said Heliliah when handing down the death sentence.
Nasaruddin and Azhar had been found guilty of trafficking in 2.3kg of ganja at Jalan Raja Alang, Dang Wangi, about 8.30pm on June 15, 2001.
