Pakistan hanged Abdul Sattar, a murderer of two persons, in Machh Jail after postponing his execution five times. Sattar had killed two of his close relatives, Baraan and Adam Khan, on a petty matter six years back in Loralai and was given a death sentence by the sessions court. He filed an appeal against his conviction in the Balochistan High Court, which rejected his appeal and upheld his death sentence. Later, his application was also rejected by the apex court. President Gen Pervez Musharraf also rejected his clemency petition of the convict on August 19, 2002.
