District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Islam-ul-Haq Arain, presiding over Khairpur’s Model Criminal Trial Court, pronounced his judgement after the prosecution and defence lawyers concluded their arguments in the previous hearing.
The judge awarded capital punishment to Mohammad Sharif Narejo after finding him guilty of killing his father Dur Mohmmad Narejo for not helping him contract a freewill marriage.
