Radio France Internationale reported Ibrahim Doumbia, vice-president of the Ivorian Human Rights Movement, as saying that arbitrary arrests, house searches without warrants, and summary executions had turned into a daily phenomenon in certain parts of the country. The report also stated that security forces had observed many cases of execution of citizens who were taken out of the residences and gunned down. "However, such individual cases of violence are no longer those most condemned now, as things are moving towards a different type of violence, that is, acts of violence meted out to masses. These include mass graves, three or four men found dead following their execution. This shows the crisis is intensifying" the report added.
