Reports from the southern Iranian city of Lamerd, located in the Fars province, said two more public executions were carried out.
Two un-named individuals, accused of rape, were hanged at dawn using a construction forklift.
The Student Movement Co-Ordination Committee for Democracy in Iran noted that Lamerd has been the scene of violent clashes, in the last two years, between the local residents and the Islamic republic's Security forces.
These two new executions bring to the total of eight the number of official public executions in Iran, in the last seven days. Five other executions were carried out in Tehran and another near Esfahan.
SMCCDI said the Islamic republic regime is known for the use of labels, such as, "Bandit"; "Spy"; "Renegade"; "Drug Trafficker"; "Hooligan" or "Rapist" for qualifying its opponents. Such a policy makes easier the task of its European, Russian and Japanese partners to justify the continuation of their commercial collaboration with the clerical administration oppressing the Iranian nation, SMCCDI said.
