The sentence was handed down due to the individuals being implicated in murdering an individual as well as severely injuring the wife of the deceased in Rajagiriya in 1999.
High Court judge Manilal Waidyathilaka issued this sentence, it has been reported that the two individuals are brothers from the same family.
