SRI LANKA: DRUG TRAFFICKER KALU THUSHARA SENTENCED TO DEATH

Drug trafficker “Kalu Thushara” was sentenced to death by the Colombo High Court on 10 December 2019. Justice Gihan Kulatunga delivered the order, after the accused was found guilty of two indictments for the possession and trafficking of 25.77 grams of heroin.
Kalu Thushara was arrested on the 12 May 2017 by the Organized Crimes Prevention Division when he was traveling on a motorcycle in Sedawatte, Colombo. At the time of his arrest, he was in the possession of 59 grams of heroin.
