SRI LANKA: FIVE SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDER

Five members of the same family were sentenced to death by Homagama High Court Judge Damith Thotawatte on 15 December 2020.
This is in connection with the murder of a resident of Habarakada in Homagama.
The murder took place on 9 October 2009 and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was Isanga Sameera Silva Francis Ratnasekera, a resident of Habarakada, Homagama.
Athurugiriya Police conducted preliminary investigations into the murder and arrested the suspects.
