Supreme court has upheld a death sentence by public stoning for a woman convicted of murdering her husband with the help of her lover. Maryam Ayoubi, 31, was "shocked" by the court ruling putting her to death for slaying her husband and then burning the corpse, the Khabar paper reported, without indicating when the punishment would be carried out.In accordance with Islamic law, she will be buried up to her chests, but in the unlikely event that she manages to dig herself free before she is killed, Maryam Ayoubi will then start her 15-year sentence.
