The daily Iranian newspaper Qods reported that Ali Taqizadeh, a 70-year-old man, was executed by hanging in the holy city of Mashhad in north-eastern Iran. He had been convicted of sexually abusing a child. The newspaper reported that Taqizadeh had been previously jailed 15 times, 9 of which for sex-related crimes.
