three were hanged in Yazd, central Iran, for drug trafficking, the information centre of the Law Enforcement Force of Yazd Province announced. According to a report sent to IRNA, the executions of two were carried out after religious and legal formalities in the central prison of Yazd, the other in the city of Ardakan, also in Yazd. They were accused of trafficking, storing, and distributing narcotics. Yazd is situated along the southern transit route and is a passageway for drug traffickers.
