USA - California. A jury sentenced Corey Lynn King to death

A Los Angeles County jury sentenced Corey Lynn King, 24, Black, to death for the torture killings of a woman and her 3 young daughters. Prosecutors say King, then 18, stabbed Sonya Harris, 43, and Ebony Horton, 13; Melina Harris, 11; and Kayla Clark, 9, in their home on September 9, 2008. Prosecutors say the motive for killing Harris was unclear, but the girls were slain because they were witnesses. After the killings, King doused the bodies and home with gasoline and set it on fire. He is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 20.
