The Oregon Supreme Court has overturned the death sentence of Issac C. Agee, a state prison inmate convicted of killing another inmate in 2008. Agee, 38, White, was sentenced to death in Marion County Circuit Court in June 2011 for his role in the February 14, 2008 killing of 36-year-old inmate Antonio Barrantes-Vasquez at the Oregon State Penitentiary. The Supreme Court upheld Agee's aggravated murder conviction, but ordered a new hearing to consider if Agee is mentally disabled, which could disqualify him for the death penalty.
