Ayub Mohammad Houd, 33, was condemned to death and 11 other Iranians and a Pakistani sentenced to jail in November for smuggling 1.5 tonnes of hashish into Yemeni territorial waters. The appeal court ruled that the case was not within the jurisdiction of Yemeni justice, hinting the seizure took place outside its territorial waters.
