2 PINOYS ESCAPE DEATH ROW IN CHINA

two unidentified Filipinos had their death sentences with two year reprieves commuted to life imprisonment in China by the Hangzhou Intermediate People’s Court, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) quoted the Philippine Consulate General in Shanghai as saying. “The two Filipinos, a male and a female, were apprehended in Hangzhou, China, on 27 and 25 October 2008, respectively, for carrying over 1,200 grams of heroin," the DFA said.
