A court in Bangladesh sentenced to death in absentia M Abdul Majid and awarded life imprisonment to Hasan Ali, 45, Bhimpur UP chairman in the Mahadevpur and to Shamsul for the murder of businessman Azimuddin. According to the prosecution, the convicts called out Azimuddin, 30, on the night of June 3, 1995, his body was found in the Mohimapur area of Patnitala the next morning.
