A court in Jhenidah, Bangladesh, sentenced to death Mohammad Rawshan Ali for killing a minor after raping her at Kabirpur village in the Shailakupa region on October 15, 1999. According to the prosecution, Rawshan Ali picked up the eight year old as she was on her way to a neighbour's house to watch television. He later strangulated the girl when she cried out for help.
