A court in Naogaon, Bangladesh, sentenced Quamruzzaman and Afsar Ali to death and three others to life, two years and six years imprisonment for killing a co-villager. According to the prosecution Nurul Islam of Bahapur village went missing when he went to sleep at a storeroom near his house on October 25, 1997. His mutilated body was found at the eastern side of the village three days later.
