A court in Sunamganj, Bangladesh, sentenced Taleb Uddin to death by hanging and two others to life imprisonment for murder. According to prosecution, the convicts shot dead their neighbour Abdul Gofur on May 22 in 1997 as he stood "opposed to their anti-social activities".
