A Delhi court sentenced Raj Kumar to death for brutally killing his sister-in-law and six-month-old nephew in 1994 on apprehending that his father was not going to not give him a share of the ancestral property. Kumar was also found accused guilty of attempting to murder his other sister-in-law and her five-year-old son, and separately sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for 10 years. His death sentence is subject to confirmation by the Delhi High Court.
