A Palestinian sentenced to death for collaboration with Israel was killed during an attempted escape, witnesses said.
Police first fired in the air as Khaled al-Akka, 28, tried to escape, before shooting him, they said.
Al-Akka was found guilty in August of providing Israeli security forces with information that led to the killing of Massud Ayad, a commander of Force 17, the elite guards of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement.
